Good news for Kansas Citians! TODAY, my favorite local cupcake shop started selling new signature flavors at the Leawood Dean & Deluca! Right now, they are offering 2 signature flavors - Chocolate Almond (chocolate cupcake topped with almond buttercream, rolled in toasted coconut and toasted Almonds and drizzled with salted caramel sauce) and Counter Culture Espresso (vanilla cupcake topped with buttercream featuring Dean & Deluca's real house signature ground Counter Culture Espresso and a chocolate covered espresso bean) AND 2 seasonal flavors. For November - Red Velvet (red velvet cake topped with raspberry sauce and a raspberry and white chocolate cream cheese swirl buttercream AND Pumpkin (pumpkin cupcake topped with a chocolate cinnamon buttercream and crushed roasted pepitas. For December, rumor has it the seasonal flavors will be Gingerbread (gingerbread cupcake topped with a spiked eggnog buttercream) AND Christmas Red Velvet (red velvet cake topped with chocolate cream cheese icing and crushed candy canes).
The new signatures will only be available at D&D, so don't expect to find them at A La Mode's regular shops. Currently, D&D is selling them for $4.25 but they are baked and decorated and then delivered from right around the block at the Leawood branch of the cupcake shop. Soon, they will also be making a GF vegan cupcake for them as well. They are open 7am til 8pm daily and the D&D street address is 4700 W 119th st Leawood 66209.
